Join us as we welcome Ruth Pitts of Nantucket Food Fuel and Rental Assistance (NFFRA), a service of the Nantucket Interfaith Council. In the past year, the Nantucket Food Pantry has distributed 20,000 bags of groceries to approximately 1700 hungry neighbors. Let’s join together as a community and give them a helping hand. All ages are welcome.
Kabbalat services begin at 6:30 p.m. followed by a brief presentation by Ruth Pitts, manager of the Nantucket Food Pantry, highlighting the role of the food pantry in serving the needs of Nantucket residents. Afterwards, we will assemble bags of personal hygiene products for distribution at the pantry. All are welcome as we participate in Tikkun Olam, repairing the world, in our special Nantucket community.
Contributions to support this project are also welcome in the form of $18/bag. To purchase a bag visit:shirathayamnantucket.org/purchase/
