A Conversation about the difference between how young American Jews and some of the older generations perceive and discuss the relationship between Israel and the Palestinians, and how to create a dialogue between the generations that is less divisive.
There is a generational divide between many young Jews, especially those on college campuses and their parents and grandparents about what each believes about the status and relationship between the Israelis (government and its citizens) and the Palestinians (people and their governments). Renewed fighting and recently political turmoil has prompted students in universities across America, to rally against what they see as more than half a century of Israeli occupation.
There is also a generational divide about how each group expresses those opinions.
How do we create a fruitful dialogue between the generations — and learn to tolerate the varying points of view (even if we don’t agree with them)?
