Join us for an online only program with Professor Abdullah Antepli of Duke University to discuss the rise in religious based hatred and strategies to combat it.
Imam Antepli is a globally acknowledged scholar and leader of cross-religious and cross-cultural dialogue in American higher education and in the non-profit world. He has built multiple organizations and initiatives to facilitate religious and spiritual life across America’s college campuses, sowing seeds of understanding between religions while upholding their cultural integrity and dignity. In July 2019, Antepli joined Duke University’s Sanford School of Public Policy as professor of the practice, with a secondary appointment at the Divinity School as professor of the practice of interfaith relations.
This Zoom program is an introduction to the in-person August 10-11 weekend of community discussion on Nantucket entitled “Combating Hate: A Time for Action”. These programs are a partnership of the Nantucket Interfaith Council, Congregation Shirat HaYam, the Nantucket Muslim Community, and Nantucket Communities of Color. For more information on the in-person programming, click HERE. To register for the Zoom discussion or any of the programs on August 10-11, please click the registration box below.
