Join Congregation Shirat HaYam for our Annual General Meeting, followed by Kabbalat Shabbat Services and a special presentation by Dr. Rochelle Walensky.
Location: Unitarian Universalist Meeting House, Main Sanctuary, 11 Orange Street.
Dr. Rochelle Walensky, MD, MPH, is Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and an infectious disease physician and researcher. She served as the 19th Director of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention from 2021–2023, leading the agency through the COVID-19 pandemic. Prior to joining the CDC, she served as Chief of the Division of Infectious Diseases at Massachusetts General Hospital. Her research has focused extensively on HIV prevention, screening, treatment, and public health policy.
Shabbat Services will be led by Elliott Pollack.
Registration is not required to attend Kabbalat Shabbat Services or Dr. Walensky’s presentation.
Those who would like to submit a question for Dr. Walensky to address during Friday evening’s program are invited to do so in advance using the registration form below.
