We will look at the text and selected commentaries to see this critical part of Jacob’s development.  Jacob tries to overcome his past and chart a new future for himself and for us, as Jacob becomes Israel.  There will be lots of opportunities for interaction with the text and with each other.  Prepare for a fun evening, as we dive into one of our most critical Torah portions.  Material will be provided a few days before so you can familiarize yourself with the text and frame your questions and your thoughts.
