Congregation Sirat Ha Yam, A Pluralistic Jewish Congregation, Nantucket, MA

Welcome to Congregation Shirat Ha Yam

Service at Brant PointWe invite you to experience Shabbat thirty miles at sea! Our services are conducted at Hendrix Hall in the Unitarian Universalist Church and are led by visiting rabbis, cantors and local laity. Our speaker program features noteworthy authors and leaders. Each service is followed by an Oneg Shabbat. Services are a great place to meet the Jewish community of Nantucket.

From Memorial Day through the High Holy Days, we sponsor weekly Shabbat services at 7:30PM, ticket-free High Holy Day services, study groups, discussion dinners and special events. We offer assistance at life-cycle events including weddings, baby-namings, funerals and Minyans. Our religous school operates year 'round, tuition free. Here we educate Nantucket's Jewish youngsters through Bar and Bat Mitzvah.

The Board of Trustees and members of Congregation join me in welcoming you to Nantucket. For further information call our office at 508.228.6588 or e-mail us at
